Six Months as CEO: Reflecting on Progress and Looking Ahead

As I write this, it's been six months since I stepped into the role of CEO on July 1st, 2025, taking over from our founder Jens Herbst. What an incredible journey it has been!

A Time of Transformation

These past six months have been nothing short of challenging — but in the best possible way. Taking the helm during a period of global market uncertainty could have been daunting, but instead, it's been energizing. Why? Because challenges breed innovation, and innovation is what we do at WeSendit.

From day one, I knew we had something special. Our active users across 180+ countries aren't just numbers — they're a testament to the trust people place in our platform. But trust alone isn't enough; we need to evolve, adapt, and push boundaries.

What We've Accomplished Together

Enhanced Communication & Collaboration

One of my first priorities was to start improving how we communicate — both internally and with our incredible community. We've streamlined our processes, enhanced transparency, and created better channels for feedback.

Key Launches

• WeSendit Podcast Series (May 2025): We launched our official podcast series — the next step in how we connect with our community. With 2 episodes per month, our podcast covers Tech Talks, product releases and much more.
• Advertising Platform (May 2025): We revolutionized how our platform generates revenue while keeping paid users ad-free. This wasn't just about monetization — it was about creating sustainable growth.
• Team Management (June 2025): Rolling out across Pro and Business plans, this feature transforms how organizations collaborate securely. We're not just a file transfer service anymore; we're a comprehensive collaboration platform.

Strategic Partnerships

Our partnership with OVHcloud as an Open Trusted Cloud partner has been a game-changer. But that's just the beginning — we have several exciting partnerships in the pipeline that will expand our reach and capabilities significantly.

Decentralized Innovation

Our node network has grown to 70 active nodes with 1,200 TB total storage capacity. We're not just talking about Web3 — we're building it, one node at a time.

Navigating Challenges with Optimism

Yes, the global market has presented challenges. Economic uncertainty, changing user behaviors, and increased competition could have slowed us down. Instead, we've used these challenges as fuel for innovation. We've refined our focus, targeting the Media Industry, Agencies, and ICT Industries where we can make the biggest impact.

Looking Forward

As we head into 2026, I'm more excited than ever about WeSendit's future. We're not just growing — we're evolving into something bigger, something that will define the next generation of secure digital data handling. Our roadmap is ambitious:
