Content Moderation Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-12
WeSendit Media AG provides technical services for the transmission, storage, and publication of content. As a technical intermediary, WeSendit is generally not obliged to monitor all content proactively.
Nevertheless, WeSendit reserves the right to check content and take action if concrete indications of legal violations, abusive use, or violations of internal policies exist.
1. Principles of Moderation
Moderation occurs under observance of the following principles: legality, proportionality, transparency, protection of freedom of expression, and protection of third-party rights.
WeSendit does not perform general pre-monitoring of all content. Moderation occurs in particular upon knowledge through: third-party reports, automated security systems, internal verification processes, or official orders.
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to content provided or published via the following services: File Sharing, File Management, Branding Channels, Community areas, advertising contents, and other digital platform areas of WeSendit Media AG.
3. Categories of Inadmissible Content
Unlawful content includes in particular content that: violates applicable law; promotes or depicts criminal acts; infringes intellectual property rights; violates personality or data protection rights; is discriminatory, extremist, or violent; contains malware or technical manipulation; or is suited to endanger platform integrity.
4. Verification and Measures
If WeSendit receives concrete indications of potential violations, an individual case examination is conducted. Depending on severity, measures may include: temporary blocking, permanent removal, restriction of functions, or blocking/termination of the user account.
5. Automated Systems
WeSendit can use automated systems to detect malware, security-relevant patterns, or clearly illegal content. Automated checks serve technical security and do not replace a comprehensive legal assessment of each individual case.
6. Transparency and User Rights
Affected users can be informed of moderation measures, if legally permissible. Users have the opportunity to request a review if they believe a measure occurred without justification.
